Deer Park Drags

Organized drag racing in the Spokane area started in 1953 at the old Deer Park, WA airstrip which is about 15 miles north of town. The Dukes were very involved in drag racing at Deer Park and campaigned the club's twin engine dragster, driven by Earl Wham, for a number of years. Racing at Deer Park ended in 1970. The old drag strip is now an active runway at the Deer Park Airport. Hope you enjoy this trip down Deer Park Drag Racing memory lane.
